Paramount+ is a video-streaming service that allows you to watch content from various popular TV channels. This multimedia service is a rebranding and relaunching of CBS All Access, which is ViacomCBS’ subscription streaming service that offers TV series and films released and premiered by its channels. Unlike its predecessor, this platform isn’t confined to only a few countries, so users from all over the world can access its features and contents.

What is Paramount Plus?

Paramount+ is basically the better version of CBS All Access—an American subscription video-on-demand over-the-top streaming service offered by CBS Interactive, which is a subsidiary of ViacomCBS. CBS All Access is known to offer three types of content: original video content, newly-aired shows on CBS's broadcast properties, and video content from the ViacomCBS library. It doesn’t feature channels, but selected TV series and movies instead—much like how other streaming services like Netflix and Hulu operate. 

For this updated version, however, ViacomCBS’s other brands will be included in its content. Over 30,000 TV and live shows from popular channels such as Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Channel, and Smithsonian Channel can now be found from the list of programs. Additionally, you can access over 2,500 Paramount Pictures films—and the service will immediately premiere new ones a month after their theatrical releases. There will also be more than 50 original series from this platform.

You can actually immediately stream this in 4K. It’s also available on various different platforms—whether it’s PC, mobile, or a smart TV. However, some of the content you can access may not be available in your region due to their international licenses with other streaming services. A worthwhile upgrade

All in all, Paramount+ is a good streaming service to try out if you’re a dedicated CBS fan or CBS All Access user. It adds more content in its expansive library to include popular series and films from other ViacomCBS brands. Plus, the sheer amount of movies and original shows will keep your catalog fresh. However, take note that not all content will be available to you depending on your region.
